Lifestyle Newborn - Dexter

Melt my heart! I love this family. These kids were so good for me and baby Dexter was a DREAM to work with! I wanted to stay and play all day long. I don’t get to do lifestyle shoots very often anymore, since I mostly do newborn sessions, from in-home studio, but it was so nice to change it up. I tried something new this time around and four days before Dexter was born, I did a belly cast of Ashley’s beautiful baby bump. Then at his newborn session, I used it as a prop! I absolutely love how it turned out (it’s the last picture, just above this, in the series). Thank you Ashley for allowing me to play and try something new J

Eric and Ashley, you have such a beautiful family and Dexter is the perfect addition! He is so very loved, along with each of your other sweet babes. You two, seriously make one, rock solid team! Thank you for asking me to capture this special time in your lives.

Newborn - Alice

I'm not even sure where to begin. Every time I sit down to write this, tears start to fill my eyes. There really are no words to describe how happy I am for my Sister and Brother-in-law. This precious niece of mine has been: dreamed about; prayed for; and loved, for an incredibly long time.

The road to parenthood, hasn’t been an easy one for Tracy and Jeff. In the first 4 years of their marriage, they experienced 10 miscarriages. With a lot of prayer and with a lot of faith, they pressed on. One year and eight months after their 10th miscarriage, on January 12th, 2015, they welcomed their baby girl, Alice, into the world.

 Bravery, selflessness and commitment only begin to describe this beautiful sister of mine. She is one of the strongest people I know. My Brother-in-law has been an incredible husband and has taken care of her through it all. I was blessed with the opportunity to spend a month with them, shortly after Alice was born. It was my absolute pleasure to capture these sweet moments with them and their precious "Rainbow Baby" (as my Sister calls her). They are the cutest parents, and love Alice in such a special way. It is so fun to see my Sister as a Mommy and Jeff as a Daddy. After all those years of seeing them struggle, it is a blessing to finally see them radiate with joy.

Alice is a living testament that prayer is real and miracles exist.

Newborn - Tessa

I loved every bit of this session. Dan and Heather are great friends, and I feel honoured that they trusted me to capture priceless moments of their new baby girl. They are amazing parents and little Tessa is so lucky to call them Mommy and Daddy. She couldn't be more loved and I couldn't be more happy for them. She is perfect in every way!





Newborn - Avery

This little man was so fun to work with! He was such a laid back little guy. My favorite part about him, were his sweet, squishy cheeks! Little Avery, and his big sister, are clearly very loved by their amazing parents. I had a wonderful time getting to know them, and chatting with his gorgeous Mommy. Sometimes I have so much fun, that I actually forget I'm working. This was definitely one of those sessions :-) Congratulations again on your beautiful new addition to your family. He is absolutely perfect!








Newborn - Willow

I had so much fun with these three. They were a dream to work with! Baby Willow was so tiny and perfect, and even gave me a couple sweet, little smiles. It's always fun to work with baby girls, because I get to pull out all kinds of fun, girly props! There's no doubt she is going to grow up to be just as stunning as her Mommy. Justin and Devon, Willow is super precious, and I had a blast getting to know you guys a little bit. Congratulations on your newest addition to your adorable family! 

Lifestyle Newborn Mini Session - Silas

Delaine found out that my family and I were planning a trip to Calgary around the time that her baby boy was going to be due, so she snatched up the chance to book a mini session with her kiddos. All three of them were so good for me! I'm so glad I had the chance to visit with her while I was there. We've known each other for many years and it is so fun to see her as a Mommy of three now!  I'm glad I convinced her to jump in for a couple shots with her and her adorable baby boy, Silas. She makes Mommyhood look so good! Congratulations Dave and Delaine! Silas is absolutely perfect!


Newborn - Liam

Little Liam was absolute perfection to work with! I firmly believe that I have the best looking clients in the entire world. I had a great time visiting with Liam’s parents, and Grandma, during his photo shoot. At the end of this session, his other Grandparents came into town, to meet him for the first time. There’s no doubt that Liam is surrounded by so many people, who adore him. Stephen and Schylar, you have one handsome little man on your hands, and you’re family is absolutely darling! Congratulations!!!

Newborn - Henry

Baby boys are the sweetest thing and Henry definitely lived up to that! He is such a good baby! I had so much fun with him and his parents. He was a good sleeper, and loved to be wrapped up. I felt very inspired by this beautiful family and their beautiful home. Jordan and Whitney, thank you for trusting me to preserve these tiny, little moments with you and your son!

Birth Story - Henry

 

Jordan and Whitney are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met. I felt so privileged that they asked me to capture these moments for them. There is truly nothing more special than to witness the love that a parent has for their child. I honestly shed some tears while editing these images. This is a beautiful family with an incredibly handsome baby boy. Congratulations, once again Jordan and Whitney! He is simply perfect!

Birth Story - Avery

Here is a beautiful family with a adorable baby girl! Birth Stories are one of my favorite things to photograph. There is nothing sweeter, than to witness the unconditional love that a parent has for their child. Justin and Stephi, congratulations on your new addition. Avery is absolutely perfect!

Newborn - Ethan

The Scholes Family is so sweet! Every time I do a session for them, I always have so much fun! I always have a great time visiting with them. It was fun to see them with their brand new, baby boy! Baby Ethan is absolutely perfect! He reminded me so much of my son, as a newborn. I loved everything about this session! I love my job! Kaleb and Brittaney, you have an incredibly beautiful family! Thank you, once again, for giving me the opportunity to capture this special!

Newborn - Gemma

This little, baby girl is oh so sweet! She was a dream to photograph, along with her parents! This is one good-looking family! I had the opportunity to do a birth story for Mark and Jaymie, when Gemma was born. I’m so glad that my path crossed with this family’s.  Both Mark and Jaymie are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I have no doubt that Gemma is going to be a sweetheart, just like her Mommy. Mark and Jaymie, Gemma is so precious! You have an exceptionally beautiful family, inside and out!

Birth Story - Gemma

It was an honor to capture this once in a lifetime moment. This was my first opportunity to be a part of an entire birth story (excluding the birth of my son), and it was absolutely beautiful! I loved capturing, every little minute! Mark and Jaymie are an amazing team, and there is no doubt how much they love their little girl.  It was a breath taking experience to witness both of them, fall in love at first sight. Being a Mom myself, and now, having had the opportunity to be on the other side of the lens for this special moment, I can honestly say, there is nothing stronger than a parent’s love for their child. Mark and Jaymie, Gemma is beyond precious and I am so happy for the both of you!

Newborn - Evie

Yay! I finally have Evie's newborn session up on the blog! Isn't she one of the cutest things you've ever seen!?! And aren't these two the cutest parents you've ever seen!?! We think so! We love these three, more than words can say. It's been a blessing to have met such wonderful friends and to watch each other enter the realm of parenthood. Tyrell and Krista, I love watching you with your sweet, baby girl. In your arms and in your lives, is clearly, where she is meant to be!

Newborn - Kennedy

I had so much fun visiting with Kennedy’s Mommy and Grandma! This sweet baby girl has some amazing women to look up to. My favorite part of being a photographer is to witness and capture the love that parents have for their children. I always love watching the dynamic between new mothers and new grandmothers. Being a daughter and a mother myself, it honestly brings tears to my eyes to reflect on the joy that women share during this exciting time of parenthood. It was a privilege to be reminded of the sweet bond between mother and daughter. Justin and Shante, you have an adorable baby girl and she is clearly loved by the both of you so very much. I wish you the best with this new chapter of your life!

Newborn - Camden

I feel so privileged that I had the opportunity to capture some moments for this sweet family. These two new parents are adorable and they make such a great team! One of my favourite parts of photographing newborns is capturing the pure love that the parents have for their new baby. It made me so happy to witness this once again (even Camden's puppies are smitten). This newborn session brought back a lot of memories from when my son was this tiny and so precious. I feel so blessed that I have the opportunity to be reminded of those tiny details: the way his eye lashes fluttered as he slept in my arms; his tiny little grip on my finger; and his sleepy, newborn grin (brings tears to my eyes, just thinking about it). I love my job!

Rob and Lauren, this time is so special and so unique. I am honoured that you trusted me to capture such an important time in your lives. There is absolutely no doubt that your home is overflowing with love and joy. Thank you for welcoming me into your beautiful home! Camden is so handsome!


Newborn - Sariah

I honestly don't think this sweet baby girl could have been more perfect! She was a DREAM to work with! She slept when I needed her to sleep, and then was awake for the lifestyle portion of the session. I'm thrilled about the images I caught with her looking right at me. Her Mommy, Apryl, is an incredibly talented photographer and I felt honoured that she trusted me, to capture these sweet moments for them. I was also nervous, because I understand the passion we share for capturing that 'perfect' moment. I am extremely happy how this session turned out! It was so sweet to see how much Grant loves his little girl already. The feeling is definitely mutual. As soon as he walked into the room, she was all smiles :-) Grant and Apryl, I had a blast getting to know you a bit better, and thank you for welcoming me into your home.

Baby - Maksim

 

I can't even begin to describe how amazing this experience was for me. Baby Maksim was born at 26 weeks gestation. He is a living miracle. Eighty six days after he was born, little Miracle Maks was able to go home! This was an exciting time for everyone, especially his two-year old big Sister, who had not yet seen him. Logan and Shalee, I truly feel blessed that I had the privilege of capturing these special moments between you and your children. You are amazing parents and a beautiful couple!
